Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, today announced three additional Off-Road Vehicle offerings, the RANGER CREW® 900-6, Polaris ACE 570 SP and RZR 170 EFI.
Working on your ATV is made a whole lot easier when you can raise it completely off the ground for removing wheels or adjusting the height to a more comfortable work level.

The Pro-Point 1,500 lb capacity lift uses a T-handle design for easy lifting of ATVs, motorcycles, lawn tractors and dirt bikes.

The 13.25-inch long on-slip rubber lifting pads prevent scratching and the 4 built-in anchor points can be used to secure your work vehicle in place with tie-downs.

The addition of a foot pedal assists with faster lifting and the two 2.5-inch diameter swivel casters make for easy manoeuvring around the work shop.

The honest truth is, we've ridden the new ZForce 800 and found it to be a very real contender in the performance SxS market and it's feature list, quality of finish and attention to detail are second-to-none in this business.

From a performance perspective, this V-twin can hold its own against any other big -inch (certainly up to 800ccs) SxS it competes against.

If you had the choice, where would you put your money?

There's no question vehicles like the RZR, Wildcat and Commander are hot sellers. The hotness of them actually reminds us of nearly a decade ago when the Sport ATV biz was re-igniting.

Performance ATV sales had been dormant for over a decade with only Honda and Yamaha sticking around. When the new enthusiasm hit it wasn't long before Can-Am, Polaris, Kawasaki and Suzuki were selling big numbers of stripped down, motocross-style 4-wheelers.

After a couple of years of rapid growth and then a recession, the numbers (which once were rumored to be 25-percent of the industry) have backed off considerably.

There are less OEMs building them and a pretty good glut of used ones out there in various states of repair or disrepair.

Apparently prices are still holding up and it's relatively easy and cheap to restore them provided drivelines and engines are in reasonable condition.

Enter the SxS performance market. Yup, the prices on these are higher but it doesn't seem to be slowing momentum. Something market planners don't seem to take into account is the availability of used vehicles in this category.

Since the above-mentioned off-roaders are relatively new products in the marketplace, there isn't a huge stockpile of worn-out or recently-bought RZRs etc, in the pipeline.

The best way to get your hands on one is to buy new - simply because good, clean mechanically sound ones are flat-out in very short supply.

What it means is if you bought one a couple of years ago, you can almost name your price for it. A pretty good investment really - especially if you're thinking about moving up to something different.

You just can't go wrong buying one of these side-x-sides and your money is pretty safe when demand is so high.

Powered by Polaris's rock-solid 760cc OHV parallel twin, Polaris Ranger 800 EFI Mid-Size puts out an impressive 50 horsepower and those stallions are driven through one of the most proven CVT transmissions in the business.

The 800's On-Demand true 4-wheel-drive system is completely happy with this powertrain and can be selected from a single handlebar switch to run in AWD, 2WD or full-time 4x4 with the differential automatically locked. It turns out to be the best all-round no-brainer 4WD system on the market. There's simply no other system available this easy to operate.

The RZR 570 comes with Polaris' On-Demand, selectable full-time AWD system that monitors wheel speed variance, automatically locking the front diff when wheel speed varies by more than 5-percent. The RZR also comes standard with unlocking rear-diff Turf Mode - exceptionally handy when navigating precious fescue.

POLARIS SPORTSMAN ACE: QUESTIONS ANSWERED

 http://www.atvmag.com/article.asp?nid=2856

Lots of questions surround Polaris' latest offering that seems to have the offroad community adequately fired up. So let's take a closer look at the Sportsman ACE and try to add a bit of factual content to your water-cooler discussions.

You're right. At first glance it looks weird! Once you get up close to it though and start to understand what it is, it grows on you. The ACE is the perfect union of a Sportsman ATV and RZR, but it's meant for a single passenger. It's 48-inches wide (same width as an ATV) and goes anywhere your 570 Sportsman will go. It's also trail-legal just about anywhere across the United States.

I remember back when the 50-inch wide RZR 800 first rolled through the doors surrounded by smoke and a lightshow at its introduction in Surprise Arizona so many years back. Polaris had created and entire segment that has spawned a wide variety of versions right up to the recently released 107 horsepower XP 1000. This insane growth has our Facebook page lighting up on a regular basis with questions of "What's next?!" and "Where can Polaris go from here?"
